Jen has 17 years of varied real estate and technology experience. She began selling residential properties in 1991, during which she managed a large portfolio of rental properties and ran a short-term apartment locating service for visiting military.

After five years, she moved on to development of high-end gated communities where she was pleased to have the opportunity to do a lot of off-roading on uncut land. She also started and managed all of the homeowner associations until time that the residents could take over.

Jen was offered a technical position at a large insurance and financial services firm by a friend. Having only played with computers for fun, she was hesitant, but thought it sounded like a good challenge. When she started, she was the only 'computer person', teaching the oldtimers how to go from a terminal setup to a GUI interface. When she left, she had built a full IT department and an internal Help Desk staff of 10.

An offer for a job at a digital imaging firm in San Marcos was quickly followed up by a move to Austin in 1998. Starting as a Help Desk Technician, she worked her way up to Senior Tech and eventually the Technical Marketing Product Manager for the company's premier product.

Once again catching the real estate bug, she joined Don Cox Company in 2003. Handling the marketing of the properties, leasing of office and industrial spaces, managment of two office buildings and keeping the office running are a few of the hats she wears.

Jen doesn't stop moving. When she is not baking (cupcakes!), gardening, or creating new recipes, playtime for her is volunteering with local artist groups, leading volunteers in event planning and building/rebuilding art installations.  She is heavily involved in the local Burning Man regional event, Burning Flipside.  She is also part of the Burning Man event staff, as an operator of ice sales at the annual event in Black Rock City, NV each year.
